Ambulante has released the official dates of its documentary film festival in 2020, its fifteenth installation. The festival will travel to the following eight locations between March 19 and May 28: Querétaro (March 19 to March 26), Durango (March 26 to April 2), Coahuila (April 2 to April 9), Mexico City (April 15 to April 30), Chihuahua (April 30 to May 7), Veracruz (May 7 to May 14), Oaxaca (May 14 to May 21), and Puebla (May 21 to May 28).
The festival will provide plenty of opportunities for patrons to attend short-film and long-form documentary screenings, meet and greets with directors, along with several roundtable discussions with our featured film creators and crew members.
This year’s installation of Ambulante will take the theme of “Transitions” or “Tránsitos.”
The documentary film festival is now in its fifteenth year so the theme of transitions will allow us to look retrospectively and towards the future, not only in the context of the festival but in the greater context of documentary films as a genre,” said Paulina Suárez, the Executive Director of Ambulante.
We are also happy to present the festival’s new logo, designed by Alejandro Magallanes, a festive image that celebrates the festival’s fifteenth edition. To achieve that celebratory image, the letters that spell Ambulante are gathered in a 360° circle and are in cyan, magenta and yellow.
Ambulante will also be using the hashtag #AmbulanteDeQuince on all our social media platforms to celebrate our fifteenth year.
**Ambulante would like to thank Beta San Miguel, Barmicil and Cucapá, the official sponsors of our film festival, for their support.
