With over forty films and fifty years in production, Wiseman has explored various institutions and key spaces in Western culture, delving deep into human nature by showing society from a wide ethical and existential array. In the tradition of direct cinema, his style has been recognized through awards such as the IDFA Living Legend Award, the Honorary Oscar and the France Culture Prix Consécration at Cannes.
