Violence, with its many faces, is one of the threads woven into the lives of Mayan women. This violence has marked the colors and designs of their lives, but the brightness of feminine energy (Ix, jaguar) has given them the strength and wisdom to carry on living. Violence must be removed as part of the historic fabric of Mayan women’s stories; it must disappear for the new generations, for towns and for mankind.
